Would you buy it? ~Vintage Baby Bed

Found this great treasure out thrifting for $10 should I leave it alone or repaint her up??  I have no clue of the history of it so if any one knows I would like to know about what year it is if it was just called a crib or what?
Still have to find a foam mattress for it and I want to make a pretty bedding set to go inside once I decide on the colors I want the spare bedroom done in!!!
I linked up to the Wednesday Would you buy it...

  1. Its a cute bed. would you keep it as a crib or come up with a different use. you could make a little bench with it.

  2. Thank you that is a great idea then I could use the metal spring to hang on the wall for photos and the other side of the bed to maybe hang there baby blankets as a ladder!!!

  3. I'd buy it. I might use it to hold potted flowers outside on my front deck or make a burlap liner for it and use it as a unique way to store magazines...something like that! Lesa

  4. Now that I've said that...went back to look at the picture again - how big is the crib? I'm thinking it is a doll-sized crib.

  5. I'm with Home Frosting. I can't tell if it's a doll crib. I have a similar-looking one from my childhood.

  6. Its a standard size bassinet/crib probably was once used to hold a baby? In my garden I have a radio flyer old wagon and wheel barrel I pot my flowers in but that would be a great idea also still up in the air.

  10. Ironically I got the flowers from the facebook sale from Vintage Wanna Bee! She had a destash sale a week or two ago so I picked them up. However I just purchased some more from Etsy, there are TONS of shops that sell nice cabochons.

  12. I'd definitely buy it and make a bench out of it!! It has gorgeous lines...especially those sides. :)

I wouldn't use it as a crib though. Typically, the bars are farther apart on vintage cribs, which today is a safety concern.

  13. I have a yellow one that is very similar! It was my 89 year old mother in law's crib. My daughter used it as a doll crib when she was little.
